I've read 'Tom Lake' more than once and I love it! I recently started writing a story about Ann Patchett and how she does amazing things with time. I'm using Tom Lake as an example of how she "makes time wrap back around on itself." I might think of a clearer way to say that by the time the story is done, but curious if that idea makes sense to you having read it.
