What is clean? It is fresh. It is uncluttered. It is open. What is not clean? A brain foggy day. Confusion. Lack of clarity. A sometimes excruciatingly painful lack of clarity. It is bad days. Clean is good days.

Miracle. Twenty-something years ago I would have seen this picture and felt a spark — of love, of hope, of fear. Could I really do that? Make a baby? Grow a human? Now — today — he is two weeks away from being 19 years old, and he STILL amazes me. Did I do that? I still get amazed when I look at my positive pregnancy test, or his first ultrasound picture. I made a sac!
